Vietnamese businessman Hoang Tuan Anh has devised a machine similar to an ATM that dispenses free rice.
The machines, which provide 1.5kg to 2kg of rice at a time, aim to help Vietnam’s workers whose livelihoods have been displaced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Rice ATMs” have been installed in Vietnam’s biggest cities such as Ho Chi Minh, Hanoi, Hue, and Danang.
