India’s Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare launched Kisan Rath, a mobile app that helps farmers and traders across the country to move farm produce during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Developed by the National Informatics Centre, the app identifies leading transport aggregators and individual transporters for providing a wide range of transport vehicles at the required date and place, in a quick and easy way.
Aside from allowing the flow of agricultural products, Kisan Rath will also reduce wastage and contribute to better pricing of perishable commodities.
The app is available for download at Google Play.
