A Chinese agricultural drone company launched a drone rice-seeding demonstration in Guangdong Province to showcase its ability to reduce labor requirements in rice production.
Using a special granule spreading system, the XAG drone seeded 50,000 square meters in one hour. Using manual labor, it would have taken 50-60 workers to complete the task in the same time span.
Since 2019, XAG’s drone direct seeding solutions have been used in more than 650 million square meters of rice fields across 11 provinces in China.
