The Philippine Department of Agriculture has prepared a 100-hectare farm in Agoo, La Union as a pilot area for the Community Hybrid Rice Farming Project in the Ilocos region.
The project will cover wet and dry cropping seasons in irrigated areas and also focus on a value-chain approach that will provide 185 farmer-cooperators with production, processing, and marketing interventions to make rice production a viable business.
