The Cambodian Huang Ming An Vision Agricultural Technology Co Ltd successfully piloted growing a Japonica rice variety suitable for Cambodia’s climate.
With proper crop management, the variety can produce up to 8 tons per hectare and it is also more resilient to climate change compared with traditional rice varieties.
The company is currently collaborating with the Ministry of Agriculture’s General Directorate of Agriculture and plans to expand production to Battambang Province.
