The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a Philippine government agency that develops the country’s workforce and provides quality technical-educational and skills development, will offer over 100,000 scholarship slots to rice farmers and their dependents.
Under the Rice Extension Services Program, TESDA’s free training modules will include rice machinery operations, drying and milling plant servicing, small engine servicing, solar-powered irrigation systems, and modern rice seed production.
The modules were developed by Philippine Rice Research Institute, Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization, and the Agricultural Training Institute.
