Vietnam has various “green” technologies that could help boost its agricultural productivity, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and save an estimated USD 2.3 billion, according to a study conducted by the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT).
The researchers found that emissions-reductions actions could be profitable for farmers and beneficial for the environment because they generally increase productivity or reduce the use of inputs like fertilizer and water. These climate-smart technologies include alternate wetting and drying technology for rice.
